OVERVIEW

The Department of Sociology was established in 1962 with UG classes and was promoted to PG classes in 1990. The departments of sociology introduce the students to a sociological way of thinking. It provides an understanding of the discipline of sociology and sociological perspectives. The department also started an Add on course. The department of sociology has a unique and unbroken practice of final year students going for a field work. The alumni are employed in reputed governmental as well as corporate organizations.
