INTRODUCTION

Minority committee of the college was established with the purpose of empowering the minority communities in the college. College has been very much keen to provide services to the educational and cultural needs of the Minority community along with other caste, creed and Nationality. The Minority committee basically helps minority students including Christian, Muslim etc. for their academic development.

OBJECTIVES

To enhance equal opportunities for educational of minorities.

To facilitate financial support for the students from minority communities from governmental agencies and other sources.

To function as a Grievance Redressal Cell for the grievances of minority community students of the college and render them necessary help in solving their problems.

To collect reports and information regarding the GOI orders on the various aspects of education, training for minority community students and circulate to the students for their awareness.

To circulate State Government and University Grants Commission's decisions.

To support and empower them with equal rights.

To help them to convey their issues confidentially and get solved.

FUNCTIONS

Maintenance of database of the minority community students with their contact number and Email ID and update it every year.

All affairs related to minority community students.

All affairs related to minority community reservation implemented in the Institute according to Indian Government Policy.

Registering the complaints from minority community students and forward it to the concerned department, person section for the peaceful resolution.

Nomination of students every year from minority community for the committee at the institutional level.

To work as the Grievances Redressal Cell for minority community students and address their problems.

ROLE OF STUDENT MEMBERS

The students members of minority committee will attend the periodical meetings organized by the convernor in order to help them to understand the facilities available in the college campus.

Interactive sessions and informal meetings with students are also conducted to help them deal with personal, social and academic problems.

RESOLUTION

The Minority committee has resolved to convene meetings once in six months and takes steps to redress the grievance.

A register should be opened for registering the complaints.

FUTURE PLANS

To Minority committee extend the services to empower the students to participate fully in the academic, intellectual, social and cultural life of University on equal basis.
