Career Counselling & Placement Cell
The Career Counselling Cell has been formulated for helping students to know and understand themselves and the world of work in order to make career, educational, and life decisions. It helps the students realize their strengths and weaknesses by instilling self-awareness, decision-making skills, planning skills, personality development, etc. Some of the key responsibilities of a career counselling and Placement cell include:
- To help students share knowledge about themselves by identifying skills and interests.
- To provide information about further course prerequisites, financial aid, academic planning, entrance examinations, etc.
- To promote career guidance and counselling through lectures by senior corporate executives and visiting professors.
- Mentoring through individual counselling.
- To organize seminars on interview skills, personality development, communication skills, leadership skills, resume writing, analytical skills, quantitative ability, and verbal and reasoning skills essential to all competitive exams.
- Facilitating interactions between students and potential employers through job fairs and industry networking events.
The outcomes of the career counselling cell are as follows:
