Ismail National Mahila P.G. College established proctorial committee in 1968. In early 2000s , The UGC start taking steps against ragging. At Ismail National Mahila P.G. Proctorial Committee Mission:
The Proctorial Committee aims to uphold discipline, promote ethical behavior, and ensure a harmonious campus environment. We believe that discipline is the cornerstone of an effective educational experience, contributing to both personal and academic success.
Functions and Responsibilities:
- Monitoring Student Behavior: Regularly observing and evaluating student conduct to ensure adherence to the college’s code of conduct.
- Addressing Grievances: Providing a confidential and fair platform for students to report any issues or grievances related to discipline.
- Counseling and Guidance: Offering guidance and support to students who may require assistance in aligning their behavior with college expectations.
- Implementing Disciplinary Actions: Enforcing appropriate disciplinary measures in cases of misconduct, ensuring fairness and justice.
- Promoting Awareness: Organizing workshops, seminars, and awareness programs to educate students about the importance of discipline and ethical behavior.

Anti-Ragging Committee Mission:
The Anti-Ragging Committee is dedicated to eradicating all forms of ragging within the college premises. We are committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment where every student can thrive without fear or harassment.
What is Ragging?
Ragging is any act that causes physical or psychological harm or raises apprehension or fear in a student. It includes teasing, abusive language, harassment, and other forms of intimidation.
Functions and Responsibilities:
- Awareness Campaigns: Conducting regular anti-ragging awareness programs to educate students about the detrimental effects of ragging and the severe consequences it entails.
- Monitoring and Vigilance: Keeping a vigilant eye on all campus areas, especially hostels and common rooms, to prevent any ragging activities.
- Support and Assistance: Providing immediate support and assistance to victims of ragging, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Investigation and Action: Promptly investigating any reported cases of ragging and taking stringent action against the perpetrators as per the college’s anti-ragging policy.
- Counseling Services: Offering counseling services to both victims and perpetrators of ragging to help them overcome the trauma and understand the gravity of their actions.
