Scholarship/ Freeships Policy

Ismail National Mahila PG College promotes higher education for deserving students as well as for those who are from low-income families and underrepresented groups. The college believes that no student must be deprived of education due to a financial barrier, for which scholarships are given to needy students.

Objectives

  • To encourage students to improve their performance and outcomes.
  • To assist economically disadvantaged students in obtaining a higher education
  • To inform needy students about various types of government and non-government scholarships available.
  • To support deserving students in their pursuit of government and non-government scholarships and freeships.
  • To inform meritorious students about scholarships, freeships, and the renewal process.

 

The institution has a student welfare committee that deals with different scholarship schemes (central government, state government, scholarships, grants, and fees) offered by various bodies to achieve the above objectives. The committee also helps students receive freeships and fee concessions, which are offered by the institution. In addition, philanthropists have installed numerous scholarships for the students on a need-based basis.

Procedure for Government Scholarships and Freeships

  • The list of students benefited by scholarships and freeships by the government shall be prepared on the basis of data obtained from the scholarship and freeships on the website of the government of UP.
  • The procedure, from application by students to the disbursement of scholarships and freeships, should be completed online on the UP government portal. The government of UP has uploaded concerned government resolutions regarding scholarships and freeships on Accordingly, the college shall follow the rules and regulations for the legal compliance of scholarships and freeships by the government.
  • The college shall inform the beneficiary students from time to time by circulating notices in classrooms, displaying notices on student display boards, uploading the notices to the college website, and guiding the concerned students to obtain the benefits of scholarship and freeship schemes provided by the government.
  • Students who wish to avail themselves of the scholarship or freeship scheme shall submit the application with all necessary documents. 

Procedure for Non-Government Scholarships and Freeships

  • College management shall provide a scholarship or freeship scheme for eligible beneficiaries of the college. College students shall benefit from scholarships from college management and non-government bodies.
  • The beneficiaries of freeship or scholarship shall include deserving students coming from weaker economic backgrounds, rank holders of each program, differently abled students, etc.
  • The college shall facilitate non-government scholarships and freeships out of the student welfare fund and funding by management.
